We Demand Russia to Immediately Stop the Invasion War against Ukraine

The Russian invasion of Ukraine is a violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and clearly against International Laws and the Charter of United Nations, and is absolutely unacceptable. As a network committed for a healthy and fair society for people through the health promotion activity suggested by WHO Ottawa Charter, Japan HPH Network demands Russia to immediately stop the invasion war that is threatening peace, the premise of health promotion, and seek for a solution through peaceful means.
According to press reports, there is already a significant number of civilian casualties. According to the twitters of WHO and WHO-Europe, some medical institutions are under serious shortage of medical supplies and some are evacuating inpatients to underground shelters.*2 We cannot ignore such situation as health care and nursing care providers working for Health for All.
War is the worst and the most significant human factor that can infringe health. It deprives of life and daily living of people indiscriminately, regardless of race, ethnicity and nationality. All peoples of the world have the right to live in peace and well-being, free from fear and want. This is the universal principle that humanity has reached after its long course of history. We call on friends associated with health care and nursing care to please stand against the invasion war and to take a step forward for advocacy.
