The 6th J-HPH Conference 2021 (Virtual Conference)
“Looking Ahead to a Post COVID-19 World: Contributing to Build an Equitable Society Through Health Promotion”
It has been more than 1.5 years since the start of COVID-19 pandemic. We have gone through so many attacks repeatedly, as the state of emergency was again issued for the 4th time in Japan. In our clinical scenes of healthcare and nursing, all staff are in full devotion, keeping the worries about infection risk inside. On the other hand, a shadowed aspect of Japanese society has been brought into light, as increasing number of people are forced to live in financial difficulty due to loosing job, and they are eventually loosing access to healthcare as well. In this conference, the issues that are found and witnessed in the last months will be assessed from the perspective of Health Promotion, and the agenda of what contribution health services can make to bring about a more equitable society in post COVID-19 era will be discussed.
